SOUTHERN EXPOSURE -SUBMITTED WORK AND STATEMENTS BY MISSISSIPPI ARTISTS Would you like to be featured? Find out More HERE ZOÉ ISHEE"I have been creating art since I was a child. As I grew older and began developing my style, I found my niche in creating odd whimsical characters and using funkadelic ideas to express myself. I discovered that it is particularly amusing to display my art on misshapen canvases that include all sorts of anomalous items. I enjoy making art that challenges natural life, the human experience, and the mind to appear ludic and exaggerated. I find it freeing to use my pieces as a medium to express my creative ideas that involve distorting and challenging reality. I find inspiration from considering ways in which humans view the natural world, and turning that on its head: creating something I perceive to be exciting and curious to observe. I take it easy when it comes to my work as it's all about having fun and expressing one's self."
